As Site Agent you take an active role in coordinating and supervising daily construction activities, subcontractors and site interfaces on utility-scale renewable energy projects in Ireland, with an initial focus on solar PV and BESS. You work alongside the Construction Manager, Project Manager, engineers and client representatives to ensure works are executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with the programme, drawings and specifications. This is a site-based role for someone who takes ownership, identifies issues early and is comfortable working directly with subcontractors to keep the project moving.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee daily construction activities and subcontractors on site
  • Monitor progress against the construction programme and identify delays or constraints early
  • Coordinate interfaces between subcontractors, suppliers, engineering and other stakeholders
  • Ensure works follow approved drawings, specifications and method statements
  • Conduct site inspections and follow up on quality, safety and progress issues
  • Support implementation of project HSE requirements
  • Run daily and weekly coordination meetings with subcontractors and the project team
  • Maintain site records — daily reports, progress records, photographs and documentation
  • Monitor material, plant and resource needs and flag shortages well in advance
  • Support inspections, testing, punch-list management, commissioning and handover

About you

  • Experience in site supervision, site management or construction delivery
  • Preferably within solar PV, BESS, wind, grid infrastructure or civil engineering
  • Practical understanding of construction processes, sequencing and site coordination
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors across multiple work fronts
  • Good understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements on site
  • Knowledge of Irish construction practice and health and safety requirements is an advantage
  • Structured and well organised, keeping accurate site records and documentation
  • Relevant construction or engineering qualification is an advantage; practical experience equally valued
  • Willing to work predominantly on project sites in Ireland

  • Strong opportunities for professional and personal development
